Guess which cereal pretty much promises to imrpove kids focus in school. I know you know what it is. Does it?
Breakfast REALLY and TRULY is the most important meal of the day. It is extremely important to send your kids off to school with a belly fully of good, wholesome, fiber-rich, protein-packed food. Breakfast does keep them focused. So, perhaps the makers of this cereal aren't completely off base. In the cereal's defense, there are worse options and it does provide 6 grams of fiber per serving! It also provides 12 grams of sugar {according to the American Heart Association, this is the MAX amount of sugar a child should comsume in one entire day! Thats just 4 teaspoons!} and this list of ingredients:
- Whole grain wheat
- High Fructose Corn Syrup
- Gelitan
- BHT
Kashi Autumn Wheat contains 1 gram of sugar more than I recommend, but it is a better option. Better yet, you could just buy unsweetened cereal and add in fruit, 2 tsp of honey or sugar, or stevia.

If you have a little extra time, a quick breakfast taco is also a great option. I have been making these a lot lately. Keeping adults full and focused at work is also important!
