Would you like to know my best secret for raising a good eater?
{my dinner: wild alaskan salmon, sauteed asparagus, spinach pasta}
{my daughter's dinner: THE SAME THING}
{and she ate just as much as I did...she is my foodie}
I believe this with all of my heart. Do not prepare separate meals for your kids. Fix them what you fix yourself. Also, be an example. Try new things. Eat your veggies. This has worked well for us, two for two is pretty good! I know some kids may have health issues or extremely difficult personalities which makes this tough sometimes. Don't give up, be consistent and they will be good eaters too...
At least until they go to kindergarten and are trading other kids their carrots and hummus for Gogurts! I've already noticed that with my preschooler, "Mom can we get this? I had it at preschool." Or, "Mom, my friend has that at their house." Believe me, we have had several middle-of-the-grocery-store-meltdowns! I try not to be controlling of his diet, he does get PLENTY of treats.
